Chris Westwood
Chris Westwood was born and brought up in a West Yorkshire mining village. He spent three years as a journalist with Record Mirror, reviewing albums and live events and interviewing bands such as The Jam, The Fall, Echo & The Bunnymen, the Buzzcocks, Peter Gabriel, and U2. He left the music business to write novels. Along the way he studied film and TV production at Bournemouth Film School.
His first young adult book, A Light In the Black, was published in 1989 in the UK by Penguin. Another eight novels followed, with his second novel Calling All Monsters being optioned by Spielberg/Amblin and Spielberg/Dreamworks. Ministry of Pandemonium is his first published novel for 15 years.
