Fernando Alonso
Fernando Alonso is a double World Champion Formula One driver, who is often regarded as one of the greatest Formula One drivers in the history of the sport. He raced for Ferrari, McLaren, Renault and Minardi and in 2017 he took part in the Indianapolis 500 and raced in the 2018 24 Hours of Daytona. Alonso started karting at the age of three and won three consecutive karting championships in Spain from 1994 to 1997. He became World Karting Champion in 1996. He made his Formula One debut in 2001 with Minardi, and then moved to the Renault team in 2002. In 2005 he won the F1 World Championship at the age of twenty-four years and fifty-eight days, at the time making him the youngest Formula One World Champion. After retaining the title the following year, Alonso also became the youngest double World Champion at the time. Racer is his first book.
