Nancy Furstinger
Nancy Furstinger is a leading figure in speaking up for, and writing about, animals. She has two passions: books and animals, so it's no surprise that of her impressive oeuvre of nearly 100 books, on subjects as far reaching as travel, history, music and gender, a great many are about animals! She began writing when her third-grade class put on a play that she wrote. Since then she has been a newspaper reporter, written and edited for a consumer and trade magazine, and been a managing editor for a children's publishing house. From this she caught the book bug and now she works as a freelance writer.
