A wily diamond thief, a potential blood-sucking vampire, a
wicked aristocrat, and a mysterious veiled lodger are just some of
the intriguing characters in The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes. First
serialized in the Strand Magazine between October 1921 and April
1927, this was Doyle’s final set of Holmes stories wherein, ably
assisted by his friend and chronicler, Dr Watson, the famed detective
embarks on spine-chilling adventures solving mystifying murders and
confounding cases. The Sherlock Holmes stories have inspired several
film, stage, and television adaptations, with more than seventy actors
playing the world-renowned character in over 200 films.
