A Midsummer Night's Dream

A Midsummer Night’s Dream was written towards the end of the sixteenth century. The merry comedy is set partly at the court of Duke Theseus of Athens, while the rest of it takes place in the surrounding forest occupied by magical creatures. One of Shakespeare’s most enchanting plays, it continues to be recreated for the theatre, musicals, ballet and radio.
