Aishwarya Singh

Aishwarya Singh is half the voice behind Desi Crime and the co-founder of Desi Studios, a production house she affectionately calls “South Asia’s adrenal gland.” What began as a college side project—an attempt to carve space for South Asian crime stories in a Western-dominated podcasting landscape—quickly became her full-time pursuit. By the time law school applications were due, Desi Crime had begun to make a mark in India, prompting her to trade legal dreams for a microphone and launch a production company at 23. A political science and philosophy graduate with a past life in nuclear weapons policy, she now crafts gripping narratives that uncover dark corners of South Asian history and society.

Having lived in 14 cities across 4 countries and 4 continents, Aishwarya has now calls India home. In her free time, you can find her at the nearest gym or browsing through luxury real estate she cannot afford, with the seriousness of a seasoned buyer. An ardent lover of wine, she’ll be the first to admit she’s mostly faking any real understanding of it.
