Aryaan Misra

Aryaan forms the less funny half of Desi Crime, which might have something to do with his nerdy beginnings. He was all set to become a biologist when he designed an experiment for NASA in high school that was carried out aboard the ISS, but it has been downhill since. He attempted a biology degree in college in Michigan, but dropped out to chase his dreams (money, fame and love) in New York. He found neither. His early adult days were characterized by being a Fox News free speech contributor and working on an investigative crime show. The search for meaning continued as he hopped around the world living nomadically in Africa and Europe, only to return home to start a production house. Desi Crime has allowed him to blend his love for storytelling — both writing and narrating.

Nowadays he lives in Mumbai, but squanders his rent by traveling half the time to the Arctic and Syria most recently. He tries to look mysterious, but he’s lost. Currently he’s working as a writer on films and making IPs of all kinds. He likes jumping rope, drinking coffee, and publishing pseudo intellectual video essays. Most of his time is spent wondering if he peaked in high school when he played Shylock in an Urdu play.
