Helen McGinn

Helen McGinn is an international wine judge, writer and broadcaster. She is the author of award-winning wine blog The Knackered Mother’s Wine Club and several bestselling books including The Knackered Mother's Wine Guide, The Supermarket Wine Guide and The Island of Dreams. She has written regularly about drinks for the Daily Mail and Waitrose Food Magazine, and regularly appears on television as a wine expert. She‘s won numerous awards for her blog, including Fortnum & Mason’s Online Drink Writer of the Year and Red magazine’s Best Blogger.

Helen spent almost a decade sourcing wines from around the world as a supermarket wine buyer before spending the next half-decade pregnant. She is married with three children, too many dogs and a weird cat. She also regularly shares her wine expertise on her Instagram platform of over 140K followers (@knackeredmother). Her desert island wine would be a bottle of 1988 vintage champagne. Her desert island dish would not be left-over fish fingers.
