James Joyce

James Joyce, born on 2 February 1882 in Dublin, Ireland, was the eldest of ten children. His family's financial struggles forced him to leave Clongowes Wood College in 1892. He later attended Belvedere College and University College Dublin, drawing inspiration for writing from his surroundings and acquaintances. In 1902, Joyce moved to Paris to study medicine but returned home after his mother's death. In 1904, he moved to Trieste, teaching English, where his children George and Lucia were born. Despite financial failures, he published "Dubliners" in 1914 and "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man" in 1916. After moving to Paris in 1920, Joyce published "Ulysses" in 1922. Joyce died on 13 January 1941, leaving behind a legacy through works like "Finnegans Wake."
