Virginia Woolf

Virginia Woolf was born on 25 January 1882, in Kensington, London. She began writing at a young age, and published The Voyage Out in 1915. A pioneer of modernist literature, she wrote influential novels such as Mrs Dalloway, To the Lighthouse, and Orlando, as well as the groubdbreaking feminist manifesto A Room of One's Own. Woolf committed suicide by drowning in 1941.
