Like You've Nothing Left to Prove
Synopsis
Can their love survive on thin ice?
At sixteen, figure skating prodigy Elijah Rodriguez was forced to abandon his Olympic dreams after a major accident. Now a popular vlogger in his first year at university, Eli is rebuilding his life and exploring what the future might hold. While the support of his family and friends make the possibilities seem endless, there’s one little complication: nobody knows he’s dating a rising NHL star.
Alexander Price is the captain of a team of contentious underdogs, the Houston Hell Hounds, who have their eyes glued to the prize this season: the coveted Stanley Cup. Alex has the talent and determination to achieve the lofty goal – but he also has his therapist on speed dial and a secret boyfriend. He had made his peace with living a lie for the sake of the sport he loves, but ever since Eli came into the picture, the closet has felt more like a cage. After all, their private life is full of love and warmth.
But Eli has been out of the closet for a while and their ‘friendship’ is beginning to raise eyebrows. Tired of sneaking around, Alex plans to make their relationship public at the end of the season. So what happens when an overzealous fan threatens to out them just as the Hell Hounds come close to becoming the champions?
