Synopsis
All the Mowgli Stories is a collection of short stories written by Kipling about his most famous protagonist, a feral boy in Madhya Pradesh who is raised by the creatures of the forest.
Numerous adaptations of the Mowgli stories have made their colourful cast of characters familiar to many: Mowgli’s beloved friends Bagheera the panther and Baloo the bear, as well as the villainous tiger Shere Khan.
The stories are drawn from The Jungle Book, The Second Jungle Book and In the Rukh and trace Mowgli’s life in chronological order. The first story Kipling wrote about Mowgli – In the Rukh – thus becomes one of the final pieces in this collection.
